HourGlass Fat Burner has an official website where you can purchase this fat burner for women. The website is a little bit over the top even for me, Hourglass is being marketed as the “intelligent, hype-free women’s fat burner”. With the tagline “Get yours today to make your figure goals a reality.” I think it is really interesting that Hour Glass has gone for the figure and not just losing weight as the goal for the product as they are different things.
So why is this a fat burner for women and not like most others, for man and women? I aim to find out if this is just marketing bluff or if there really is such a thing as a fat burner specifically for women.
The website claims that the product isn’t a ‘Hypey’ fat burner because you burn fat at a healthy pace, without side effects or irritability.
There are also other claims that “fat doesn’t make you fat, sugar does, fact”. OK so to most of you that will be a shock but in the weight loss and fat burning industry we have always known that sugar is the enemy and not fat.
The website goes on to tell us that Eating sugar makes your body store fat. Eating fat makes you feel fuller for longer and eating sugar causes a sugar crash making you hungrier faster and you then crave more sugar. Cool but what about the fat burner.
One very interesting point on the website says “Isn’t marketing a wonderful thing?” This is in reference to the way in which we have all been told that we need to cut down on fat, but I wonder if this really applies to the claim that this is a fat burner for women. It is after all marketed as such so I would expect something in the formula that is specifically aimed at women. But then I thought, maybe all fat burners are in fact for women and we should be looking at something that is just aimed at men…
But back to Hour Glass. The ingredient profile looks good, a mixture of thermogenics with the usual Glucomannan and Green Tea Extract that we would expect to see in top end fat burners for women. What we didn’t expect to find is Vitamin D3, more commonly associated with boosting Testosterone, although it is commonly used in weight loss as Vitamin D3 can help to reduce new fat cells forming in the body.
What isn’t on the website is the supplements facts table, which we have on the side of the bottle so can present them here.
